As a long time aficionado of Japanese Animation from the 1980s and 1990s, I loved all the little element from classic Anime used in Amphibia. The creator has to have been a fan of Magic Knight Rayearth, Dragon Ball Z, and Castle In The Sky... the influences are too on the nose.

@PanzerDragoonRE So what if it doesn't have "tRiPle A" graphics. IMO the games visuals look fine, some people are excessively demanding over graphics too much and are bashing it way too hard. As long as the gameplay is good that's what matters IMO
