Eddie Jones has been sacked as England Head Coach with Richard Cockerill taking over as interim coach.
Jones leaves the role with a 73% win rate, and three Six Nations titles to his name.

@gjoutteridge @GoodBadRugby @EnglandRugby It’s a trend, as Eddie says it’s a 4 year cycle, his lowest W% is always the year before. Not using any new play schemes and finalising the finer details before the coming year. Foolish decision through, no matter the clamour that is being spouted about selection and whatnot.

@AlexCooke97 @GoodBadRugby @EnglandRugby Maybe if Jones had consistently picked the most talented players - instead of an obvious preference for journeymen who wouldn't challenge him - then England could be RWC 23 contenders, with 2 winning years just completed & the likes of Mercer & Marchant not heading baguette-side

Players going abroad in addition to what will be a poor WC (due to the fact there isn’t any international proven coach who will be willing to touch the team) spells the beginning of a dark few years for England.

Jones can’t cite team development - aside from an injured Lawes & the odd young back, the XV that lost to 🇿🇦 last week was almost exactly the XV that lost to 🇿🇦 in Yokohama in 2019 - in exactly the same way!
