Thanks to @NSF for funding our collaborative, RAPID project to design a radically-new diagnostic that uses @AlexGreenLab toe-hold switch design, @PardeeLab cell free system, and our group's resonant sensors for widespread monitoring of #COVID 19 RNA. No reagents. No PPE. Awesome.

Wyss researchers have developed “Riborepressors” that, when integrated into synthetic gene circuits, enable reporter gene expression to be halted when the right signal is present. This could be applied in diagnostics, therapeutics, and biofabrication. wyss.harvard.edu/news/gene-off-…

Proud to have this paper published today in Nature Chemical Biology after a lot of work. We report two new RNA-based repressors that precisely turn off translation and can be used for RNA sensing, circuits, and diagnostics.

Our new paper from @alexgreenlab designed classes of riboregulators that show in-cell translational inhibition and offer programmable RNA-based tools for gene circuit construction. Readable link at rdcu.be/bV5Ps. go.nature.com/2JO1Lhy
