Earlier this year we got a call from @contra asking if we'd help out with their visual identity. We were like, "Your brand is pretty dope as is. I don't think you need us." Once we talked to @contraben & @erinnhorner I was hooked. I needed to be a part of this. So we got to work.

@domesticetch such great take and insight here! "slapping images on a page" shouldn't be what an audit or moodboard ultimately is. It's a design project just like every other step of the design process.

Our industry is already so over optimized for speed and not creativity—I may be in the minority but I just can't find a way to be excited about AI tools that deprive young designers of the chance to (A) make a living and (B) find themselves somewhere unexpected.

I’m not trying to rag on these guys specifically, but the more I think about the phrase “if faster design research is threatening your employment status, you’re ngmi,” the more bummed out I get.
