Let me modify my poll of 20230419 A platelets product has been donated by apheresis (PLT-APH). The patient has 18000 platelets per microliter. No clinical signs other than 39.2C fever. Can the PLT-APH product be transfused? Add a comment, what additional info you need, if any.

A blood donor donates platelets by apheresis (PLT-APH) requiring ~90 min at an apheresis instrument and a total of ~120 min turnaround time at the blood center. Is there an acceptable amount of reimbursement (not necessarily payment) to recruit PLT-APH donors?
