A woman on IG is accusing Jets QB Geno Smith of assaulting her.
“Today is the DAY! GENO SMITH beat my a$$ cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can't be left alone with him because hed rather watch s*x online and play Call of Duty.”
You can see the police speaking with Smith.

Before there were DMs, texts, and group chats, there were folded-up notes passed between classes. Notes with big bubble letters with heats over I’d. Notes folded into elaborate shapes. Notes delivered by friends acting as middlemen. Notes with checkboxes “Will you go with me? Yes No Maybe”
And sometimes, when you didn't know how to say what you felt, you borrowed the words from a song.
R&B used to be full of vulnerability. Confessions. Crushes. Longing. Hope. Nervousness. The things you wanted to say but weren't brave enough to say yourself.
For Day 21 of the #BlackMusicMonthChallenge, share a song (or songs) with lyrics you would have slipped into one of those notes.

"Can We Talk” is an amazing song - it's melodic, it's catchy, it makes you warm and fuzzy, but the 90s was arguable the RICHEST decade of R&B music before or since, full of feel-good jams we need to add to rotation.
For Day 10 of the #BlackMusicMonthChallenge, share a song that gives you the same feels as "Can We Talk" so we can add that into rotation!

Karmelo Anthony should not be in jail. In what world are people allowed to take authority in their own hands, try to bully another kid and the kid defending himself is convicted for defending himself. #freekarmeloanthony

A century ago, Black physicians built hospitals, clinics and medical schools across the South — only to see them dismantled by policy, segregation and an influential report.
Investigative journalist Nicole Carr traced that history through her own family and found the consequences are still being felt today.
Geoff Bennett (@GeoffRBennett) spoke with Carr about her book, "The Price of Exclusion."
