@GovPressOffice I lived in California for 25 years, and as one of the poorest at that time, I can attest the taxes for income were not that bad. What was bad was all the other expenses that came from other CA taxes like gas. which makes food/eating out, commutes, services costs increase

California has the most progressive tax structure in the nation — the highest taxes for the 1%. Texas and Florida tax their lowest earners more than CA taxes its top earners. They are the high tax state, not Calfiornia.
