I’ve seen people say that if Vox were like he used to be, he wouldn’t have left Valentino standing out in the rain. Of course, I respect that take, but personally, I don’t think he left him outside alone (even if Kitty was technically there) because he changed due to Heaven or Alastor. I just think he didn’t want Val to realize how pathetically and intensely he hates Angel. Vox isn’t wise or stable enough to be wholly devoted to, or fully immersed in, his present happiness. Sometimes he gets blinded by jealous hatred rather than the love right in front of him. And on top of that, he’s a control freak.

@koinkydoinky Honestly, I agree. People are incredibly unforgiving toward characters who actively try to do good. Meanwhile, selfish or cruel characters are celebrated just for showing a hint of decency. Being Charlie is exhausting — you’re expected to be perfect, or you’re hated.
