In retrospect it really feels like they just wanted to get their ‘Unknown teaser’ points without understanding why that worked. Doing found footage style stuff for non found footage creatures or licenses is inevitably gonna have people feel let down, even if they also like Jason

Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly happy that DBD is doing ARG teasers again like they did for Unknown
But advertising a stream as "TUNE IN, YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS IT" when it's 10+ hours of nothing was a big misstep. This would've worked better as an unannounced stream.

I kinda thought it was gonna be more flashy, but it was a cabin for an hour with occasional noises
And since the stream was 9pm ET, plenty of fans and streamers stayed up/changed their schedule just to be awake for it :(
