@Thunder_Owl Ok, I am interested. I usually try out these platforms, so far most of them have been major disappointment. It is like going into a casino where every game is rigged, and card dealers favor certain customers, so you lose your money and time regardless what you do.

@Thunder_Owl Emotionally I can understand land owning, but in Finland our government has made it an expensive burden with ever increasing taxes and new regulations, which force you to install all kinds of very expensive systems (which you do not need). Everything is tightly controlled here.

@flatfingers0 I don't think LLMs solve it yet. This is like playing Infocom games in 80's, except they were better as games. ChatGPT makes grave errors in game logic, and it cannot invent anything it has not learned, so it cannot replace human DM totally. It is also inconsistent on facts.

@AnalyticMike I wrote a blog piece 10 years ago on what I called "the central problem of CRPGs": the absence of a clever, adaptable DM to creatively collaborate with players. flatfingers-theory.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-ce… LLMs are not how I guessed the problem would be solved.

I think my 20y experience in #programming is not needed anymore. I coded short rules which ChatGPT use to create Lovecraftian conspiracy RPG narrative and acts as gamemaster. Dream sequences, alternate realities, even save the game. #RPG #ChatGPT #BingAI #AI #gamedev #GPT4
