Still thinking about what a special night the She Rocks Awards was ✨ Being introduced by Vicki Peterson from The Bangles was surreal in the best way. Her music helped shape an era, and getting to share that moment with her felt incredibly full circle. I was also so grateful to finally meet Laura Whitmore, the founder of the Women’s International Music Network and She Rocks. Laura has been a true pioneer in pushing gender equity forward in the music industry, and seeing the community she’s built come together in one room was really inspiring. One of the most meaningful parts of the night was being recognized alongside so many extraordinary women. A few hold a particularly special place for me. Heather Dembert Rafter, whose advocacy and industry contributions continue to create real change. Lisa Worden, whose programming work at radio shaped so much of my early exposure to the artists I fell in love with. And Rachel Platten, whose song Fight Song has been a deeply personal anthem for me. Watching that song become a shared moment for the entire room was something I won’t forget. What makes She Rocks so powerful is how it brings together artists, executives, advocates, students, and innovators all in one space. It’s a reminder that impact in music happens at every level and that when women thrive, the entire industry moves forward. So grateful to be part of this community and this moment 💛🎶

Last Friday at the She Rocks Awards, I had the honor of accepting the Powerhouse Award, and I’m still taking it in 🤍 When I sat down to write my speech, I spent a lot of time thinking about what being a “Powerhouse” actually means to me. I realized it’s not about titles or volume. It’s about building. Solving hard problems. Staying in the work even when it’s uncomfortable. And moving things forward in a way that creates real, lasting impact. Receiving this award also came at the close of my ten-year chapter at TuneCore, which made the moment especially meaningful. I’m incredibly proud of what we built over the last decade, not just the growth, but the responsibility we carried alongside it. Expanding access for independent artists and pushing forward equity and transparency were intentional choices, because leadership isn’t just about what you grow. It’s about what you choose to fix. What made the night truly special was the room itself. Artists, executives, students, and legends all together, celebrating impact across music and audio. That’s the magic of She Rocks. When women thrive, the entire industry gets stronger. So grateful to the Women’s International Music Network, NAMM, and everyone doing the real work of change. Leading TuneCore has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my career. I’m so proud of what we built together — expanding globally, strengthening the platform, and evolving beyond distribution to support real, long-term artist careers. Everything we did was rooted in one belief: independent artists deserve transparency, opportunity, and control over their work. To the artists who trust TuneCore with your music — thank you. You are the reason this work matters. To the teams who show up every day to support creators around the world — I’m endlessly grateful. And to our partners and colleagues at Believe, thank you for believing in what independence can become at scale.
