Bryson DeChambeau contended for another major and despite nothing really going his way, will finish in the top 6 for the 5th time in his last 6 major starts. He said after his round: “It seemed like it didn’t go my way all week and I’m pretty disappointed. But this is brewing a fire in my stomach and it’s gonna make me want to fight harder and get after the US Open again this year. “Man, I had this one again. It sucks. But Scottie’s playing incredible golf and hats off to him if he finishes the job. He’s an incredible golfer and I’ve got to look forward to trying to get to his level.” He’s clearly got one eye on Oakmont already and who’s to say he won’t contend once again for potentially his third US Open.
