@hecubian_devil People are shirking the responsibility of the hard stuff to just say “thing bad.” (which I do think it’s bad but like you said without developing real policies and ground work it’s just vibes based sentiment against AI that needs more structure to do anything political).

Unbelievably correct diagnosis of how the left is thus far fumbling the anti-AI lane in politics. Really disheartening stuff. We should already *at a minimum* have draft laws, white papers, policy proposals. Educating people about the very plausible risks to democracy.
