The same thing happened in content. When distribution got easier, the volume exploded. Most of it was noise, but the upside was brutal clarity. Only the best actually cut through. Music is heading the same way. More output, more competition, shorter attention spans. But attention hasn’t disappeared, it’s concentrated. The songs that hit still dominate everything. All this does is separate signal from noise faster. Average gets ignored. Great becomes unavoidable. If anything, it forces artists to be sharper, more intentional, and more undeniable. The middle disappears. The top gets bigger.
