@NickLowryEd @KLTB26 @jimmy241101 Happy to help. Happy to also connect soon if that would be of use to explore PE etc across your Trust?
English

@NickLowryEd Depends what you want the focus of INSET to be? I always loved hands on practical days but in terms of key note speakers @AliOliverYST or the great Baroness Sue Campbell 🙌🏻
English

@NickLowryEd I’d be happy to help point you toward people…
@KLTB26 & @jimmy241101 would be high on my
list as a start.

Day 4 #5KADAY ☑️
“All for one, One for All”
Running can be a solo venture, like a lot of things in life, we tend to spend a lot of time with ourselves.
But we’re never truly alone, we’re connected to other people out there, running, commiting to moving, challenging themselves.

English

@ToffeeTVEFC @ICTFC Just a lad who lived his dream and loves football isnt he. Proper man of the people.

Day 3 #5KADAY ☑️
“Running on empty, with a heart so Full”
Power of Gratitude
I’ve had little sleep, but I’ve got to spend time with people I love.
I’m exhausted & want to rest, but I have the gift to run.
Deploy gratitude to others & also yourself, it’s a powerful motivator.

English

@VascoAdam I saw the pic before I saw it was you, and it made it worthwhile coming back on here 😂😂😂😂
English

@Burlow1987 Oh my gosh. That tires me out just thinking about it!
Good Luck mate 👏👏👏

Day 1 #5KADAY ☑️
"If you wait for perfect conditions, you'll never get anything done"
I started this challenge back in 2015 & done it every year since. I’ve spent the day convincing myself I wasn’t ready.
I talk about “creating the conditions” but main thing is “just start”

English

Day 2 #5KADAY ☑️
“We are the one’s we’ve been waiting for”
We can’t expect to wait for someone to come and save the day, to change things, we need to be the change, essentially, change starts with us.
When you have a clear goal to work toward, clarity & action follow.
Onward.

Some personal news ⬇️
It’s with great pride, and some trepidation, that I’m letting you know my time as a parkrun staff member has come to an end.
Fourteen years ago I gave up my safe and secure lecturing job to volunteer for this wonderful movement, and everyday since then I’ve been fortunate to enjoy the most incredible journey. Time and again we’ve faced challenges, as we’ve grown from a handful of events to over two-and-a-half thousand, from one country to over twenty, and from a few thousand people to many millions. Following Paul Sinton-Hewitt's lead, we’ve challenged accepted norms, found new and innovative solutions to complex problems, and worked tirelessly to bring parkrun to as many people as possible.
Sitting here reflecting on my experiences, the clear common thread through every memorable moment however has simply been time spent with the most amazing people. The relationships that parkrun has brought me have enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined, restored my faith in humanity, and demonstrated time and again what incredible things we can achieve when we work together toward a common goal.
As with all good things however, there comes a time to move on and explore new adventures. For me, that time is now, as with both excitement and nervousness in equal measure, I’m stepping into a new chapter of my life. I’d like to thank everyone who's put their trust in me over the years, stood by me when times have been tough, and pointed me in the right direction when I’ve wandered off course. Thank you.
As for parkrun itself, whose journey I often think about in human years, I first experienced it when it was just two years old, I've seen it grow from a toddler to a teenager, and as it’s about to enter its twenties, the future is incredibly bright. I feel immensely proud that the experience parkrunners all around the world enjoy today is so similar to that of the first parkrun pioneers back in 2004, and I’m excited to continue my journey simply as parkrunner A6013.
Thank you for your friendship, love, and incredible parkrun passion,
Tom

@IanBeattie You know I’d love that!

I was privileged to be invited to @Wrexham_AFC to be involved in their #PlaceBased work. Wrexham is like many places I know & love, it’s been through the wringer, but let me tell you, something very, very special is building there. Honoured to bring my knowledge to the place!
