I am starting to believe what Paul Merson said about Arsenal winning the EPL if they beat Fulham tomorrow. In the remaining fixtures the strongest team which I think will have nothing to lose is Fulham. If Arsenal win Vs Fulham they will face Westham who is fighting relegation but I don't think Westham can cause an upset as they will be coming in this game to at least get a draw and that's where Arsenal will punish them from. Burnley too will have nothing to lose but they are already relegated to the championship. This is the game I think we will struggle a bit to win but we will win it and our last game Vs crystal palace got easier yesterday after they secured a win Vs shakhtar Donetsk away which makes them favourite to play the conference league finals. If Crystal Palace qualifies to play the finals then I am sure they will value that game more than the EPL game Vs Arsenal because they will have a chance to win a trophy this season which will force them to rest key players when we face them.

Although I really want Mikel Arteta to select his best squad against Fulham, my concern is whether Martin Ødegaard is fit to start. If he is fit, then Eze should be moved to the left-wing position. Martin Zubimendi will also need a rest because of the match against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday, so Mikel Arteta could use Christian Norgaard starting against Fulham. Hincapié also needs a rest because of Tuesday, so either Calafiori or Lewis-Skelly could start. Bukayo Saka needs to start against Fulham, and Noni Madueke should play on Tuesday against Atlético Madrid.

His arrival at Arsenal on loan in the 2023/2024 premier league season remains the most controversial signings under Mikel Arteta He came on loan when it seems Arsenal had no reason to bring a new goal keeper. Aaron Ramsdale was doing well as a first choice goal keeper. He did so well he became Arsenal's favorite player Arsenal fans were shocked when David Raya came on loan. Mikel Arteta was caught in the middle of the backlash in having two good keepers in one team Because he was scared to tell the media he has brought David Raya to replace Aaron Ramsdale, Mikel Arteta assured Arsenal fans that both keepers can coexist in the same thing as first choice goal keeper Aaron Ramsdale started the season in August and started the first six games of the season. It was the month of September 17th against Everton. That was where David Raya made his first appearance. At the end of the season, David Raya kept 16 clean sheets in 32 games for Arsenal He won the golden gloves. Many fans who were angry and doubted him started to see why Mikel Arteta brought . In his second season, David Raya has gone ahead to prove to be a world class goal keeper with stunning saves Those who doubted his ability became his fans. Arsenal has gotten a jewel. A world class goal keeper He kept another 13 clean sheets. In the 2025/2026 premier league season, David Raya has equalled his 16 clean sheets records in the 2023/2024 season with four matches to go In the first leg of the semi finals of the champions league match against Athletico Madrid. David Raya made another stunning save in the 14th minute to stop Athletico Madrid striker Alvarez from scoring Any other keeper would have conceded that goal but David Raya dived at full length to prevent the goal and keep Arsenal in the match. That's how valuable David Raya has become. He has become one of the most vulnerable players in Arsenal today . David Raya is a key player in Arsenal who has saved Arsenal from troubles on multiple occasions. For me, he needs the premier league and champions league trophis and he will be in the same league with legendary Jens Lehman of the INVINCIBLE

No Premier League club have faced more injuries this season than Tottenham Hotspur (37). 😬 Arsenal are second, with 32. I think we should appreciate what Mikel Arteta has done this season copying with all those injuries and still leading the EPL table. You saw what the cheque book manager did when he got injuries with his backline. He asked for money and bought players but Mikel Arteta has had to utilise the players he has and still has us top of the EPL table and in the semis of the champions League. Fans who think Mikel Arteta should be sacked if he fails to win trophies this season should first ask themselves if there is a manager who can do what Mikel Arteta has done this season. The only manager I think can do it is Hansi Flick and he can't leave Barcelona right now because of his project he is building. I say this without shame, Even if Mikel Arteta doesn't win trophies this season, He is the perfect Manager for Arsenal unless the club decides to go for Luis Enrique, Hansi Flick or Pep Guardiola but if not among these 3 then we are better off with Mikel Arteta. Your thoughts 🤔

🚨Fulham coach Marco Silva on Arsenal: 🗣️“You try to analyse them, and against Atlético Madrid, their frontline was [Viktor] Gyökeres, [Martin] Ødegaard, [Noni] Madueke and [Gabriel] Martinelli. But it could be [Bukayo] Saka, [Eberechi] Eze and [Leandro] Trossard. " It’s clear for us, that their squad depth is better than seasons before, so they can totally change their frontline. It speaks about themselves, and the quality and depth that they have.”

After watching this PSG Vs Bayern Munich game and I have just realised how important having a strong defence is in this tournament. The only thing Arsenal have to do is knock out Atletico Madrid and they will be the champions. These two teams are playing entertaining football but they look disorganised defensively. The way Mikel Arteta sets up his team I am very sure if he goes ahead Vs any of these two teams then that will be it. Arsenal has the best defense in the world and I watched these teams defenders got exposed easily. You can't win the tournament with the kind of defending . They have good forward players but lack the most important department in football. You may say PSG are the champions but remember last season when their defenders were on form Arsenal managed to get chances but didn't utilise them. I don't think if Arsenal will play against them they will be lucky again. This season's champions League is ours🙏

🇺🇾 Football once mocked Diego Forlán in England, yet years later the same game watched him stand alone as the best player of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Before the world rose to its feet to applaud him, the English game had already dismissed him as a failure. When Forlán first stepped onto the turf at Old Trafford in 2002, the mandate from the Stretford End was incredibly simple. They expected goals, and they expected them in abundance. But the beautiful game rarely adheres to a Hollywood script. Week after agonizing week, the chances presented themselves, yet the net remained stubbornly motionless. There were missed headers, desperate blocks, and a litany of near misses that seemed to stretch on for an eternity. Old Trafford, a stadium built on the expectation of clinical excellence, rapidly grew impatient. Forlán never stopped running, but his output simply couldn't keep pace with the ruthless, unforgiving tempo of the Premier League. Even Sir Alex Ferguson famously remarked that the Uruguayan was perhaps "too nice" for the cut-throat reality of elite English football. Forlán heard the whispers and the terrace taunts, yet his response was to remain on the training pitch long after the cameras had left. There were more shooting drills, more punishing physical work, and a level of quiet determination that baffled his critics. His motivation had never been fueled by the fickle roar of the crowd. Years earlier, his sister Alejandra had been involved in a devastating accident that left her paralysed, a tragedy that reshaped Diego's entire world. He had made a private, iron-clad promise to himself that every sprint and every strike would be dedicated to her. Eventually, his difficult chapter in England drew to a close. But what followed his move to Spain was nothing short of a footballing resurrection. At Villarreal, and later Atlético Madrid, the striker who had been mocked in Manchester suddenly became an unstoppable force of nature. The trademark blond hair and the calm expression remained the same, but now the goals flowed with a frightening regularity. He unleashed clinical finishes, thunderous long-range rockets, and dead-ball strikes that felt like they were guided by laser technology. The crushing weight of doubt was replaced by an absolute, unshakable confidence. Then came the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Uruguay arrived as the tournament outsiders, but Forlán played with the authority of a man who owned the entire competition. Every strike of the Jabulani ball seemed destined for the top corner, and every goal was saturated with raw emotion. By the time the final whistle blew on the tournament, he stood alone on the podium. The Golden Ball winner. The official best player of the entire World Cup. It wasn't Lionel Messi, and it wasn't Cristiano Ronaldo who took the crown. It was Diego Forlán, the man once ridiculed in the UK, standing as the undisputed king of the greatest stage in sport. Which leaves a hauntingly uncomfortable question that Premier League purists still debate to this very day. Did Manchester United pull the plug on Diego Forlán far too early, or did he simply need to escape the grey skies of England to become the legend he was always destined to be?

🇺🇸 He played an astonishing 310 consecutive Premier League matches without missing a single minute. A run of eight years where he defied illness, injury and suspension. If you ever wanted to define the term ‘Evergreen’ in a footballing sense, you need to look no further than the bald, brilliant, and utterly unbreakable presence of Brad Friedel, the American who decided that the aging process simply didn't apply to him. In a league that prides itself on being the fastest and most relentless on the planet, Friedel didn't just survive; he became a permanent fixture of the furniture, standing as a stoic monument of consistency for nearly two decades. While his English journey began at Liverpool in 1997, it was at Blackburn Rovers where he truly ascended to legendary status, putting in a Man of the Match performance in the 2002 League Cup Final to break Tottenham hearts and lift the trophy. Friedel holds a record that genuinely borders on the miraculous, he played an astonishing 310 consecutive Premier League matches without missing a single minute. A run of eight years where he defied illness, injury and suspension. To put that into perspective, for nearly a decade, the Premier League’s landscape shifted, managers were sacked, and superstars came and went, but Brad Friedel starting in goal was the only absolute certainty in life. He wasn't a goalkeeper who relied on the theatrical, camera-friendly dives; instead, he relied on an elite sense of positioning and a massive physical presence that made the goal look remarkably small for any onrushing striker. The statistics are a testament to his sheer longevity, with Friedel racking up over 450 Premier League appearances and keeping 132 clean sheets across his spells with Blackburn, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur. He even belongs to that rarest of fraternities, the goalscoring goalkeepers. Having famously popped up with a dramatic last-minute equaliser against Charlton Athletic in 2004 that sent the away end into absolute raptures. On the world stage, he was the undisputed ‘Human Wall’ for the United States, earning 82 caps and becoming a national hero during the 2002 World Cup where he saved two penalties during the tournament’s regular play. What was most impressive was his twilight years; when most keepers are looking for a comfy coaching gig, Friedel moved to Aston Villa and then Spurs in his late thirties and early forties, still ousting younger rivals through pure merit. He eventually hung up his gloves at the ripe old age of 44, a feat of professional endurance that saw him competing against players who weren't even born when he made his professional debut. He commanded the respect of the British public not through flashy social media antics, but through a quiet, dignified work ethic and a refusal to let his standards drop, even as the grey hairs began to show. Friedel proved that the best goalkeepers aren't necessarily the ones who make the most noise, but the ones who provide the most peace of mind for the ten men standing in front of them. He remains the ultimate benchmark for professional longevity, a player who treated every single one of those 310 consecutive games with the same intensity as if it were his first and his last. In an era of sports science and 'load management,' will we ever see another player with the sheer iron-will to play eight years of top-flight football without a single day off?

Heartbroken Arsenal cult hero Emmanuel Eboue reveals he didn’t know his own son was signing a professional contract - with Chelsea! ✍️ 🗣️ “I feel very sad because when he signed for Chelsea, I wasn’t there. My mum didn’t even call me, so I didn’t know. Before I was talking with him. But now, since four/five years, I didn’t have any contact with him. It pains me a lot, because he’s my son. “When I was with him, I taught him also how to play football. I have video of me and him when we were playing. Now I don’t have any recent pictures. The pictures that I have are old ones, where they are kids. Even when I ask for some new pictures from the mum, she refused to give it to me. “To be honest, I’m very happy for him. I didn’t even think that he will be there, but now I’m very very happy for him. But inside, in my body, I’m crying because I want to be closer to my son to help him.”

🚨🗣️ When Zlatan Ibrahimović Spoke About Mario Balotelli “Mario had more talent than most players I’ve seen. He could do things that others couldn’t even imagine. But talent is not enough. You have to use your head, you have to suffer, you have to work. Sometimes I wanted to shake him and say, ‘Do you realise what you have?’ Because if he had my mentality, he would have been one of the best in the world.”

A father and son were on their way back to Spain after attending a Liverpool game at Anfield. As they boarded the plane, the son spotted someone familiar. "Dad, there's Fernando Torres over there!" The father wasn't having it. A star like Torres on EasyJet? No chance. Then the son pointed directly at the seat Torres was sitting in, and the father had to compose himself rather quickly. He went over and asked for an autograph for his boy. Torres got up, came over to the child, had a proper chat with him and signed it. The son wanted a photo too, but they were already on board, so Torres promised he would take one at the airport once they landed. Torres was on his way to link up with the Spanish national team, with an official car waiting for him the moment they arrived. Time was not on his side. To make things w0rse, the father and son had to hunt down a lost bag containing their camera. After more than 20 minutes, the father turned to his son and said: "A superstar like Torres cannot wait more than 20 minutes for us." He had accepted it was not happening. They went to the spot Torres had promised anyway, just on the off chance. He was still there. Waiting. Just like he said he would be. Absolute class.

Victor Osimhen on the "Ronaldo Effect" in Nigeria Osimhen recently highlighted the massive cultural impact Cristiano Ronaldo has on his home nation, where CR7 is more than an athlete—he’s a symbol of resilience. Osimhen noted, "Nigeria is full of Cristiano Ronaldo fans! If he visits once, he'll be shocked to see how much love people have for him here." Ronaldo’s "no excuses" work ethic resonates deeply in Nigeria, serving as a roadmap for young talents dreaming of global success. In 2026, as Osimhen cements his own legacy, he credits Ronaldo with blazing a trail that proves greatness knows no borders. The "CR7" brand remains a unifying f0rce in Nigerian football culture.

When Gary Neville was getting work done on his house in Bolton, two of the builders doing the job were Liverpool fans. They were brothers. Brian and Gary Greer. Neville had spent years on the place. Somewhere along the way, the two brothers decided they were leaving something behind. While they were working on the pool, they buried Liverpool memorabilia underneath it. A Liverpool scarf. And a copy of the club fanzine, Kop. They even took photographs while they were doing it. Then boasted about it afterwards. Brian Greer summed the whole thing up. “In future years, when his house is dug up, archaeologists will be able to see what a passion he had for the Red men.” Years later, the story was still doing the rounds. By then it had turned into folklore. Neville tried to knock it down a bit. Said it had never been proven. Said it probably never would be. But even then he still could not leave it there. Because the thought of that scarf still bothered him enough to go one step further. “I’m going to put it in my will that if anybody ever finds that bloody scarf, they must follow my final wish - burn it.”

Footballs Most Controversial Moments PART 3🤯 Rio Ferdinand's missed drugs test ban (2003) It started simply. Ferdinand had been told to take a drugs test after training — “there was no fixed time, you just went when you were ready.” He finished up, got changed, and left. “I walked straight out to my car… there was nothing to remind me.” His mind was elsewhere: “I had to go into town to get some bed-linen.” By the time he realised — “I thought, ‘Oh f***’” — it was already too late. Ferguson never liked how it was handled. “The testers… didn’t do their job. They didn’t go looking for Rio.” Ferdinand returned, rearranged the test, and passed. At that point, nobody expected what was coming. “I didn’t think for a second that I would get banned,” Ferdinand said. Even Ferguson admitted: “I still found it hard to believe he’d get such a brutal punishment.” Then it escalated quickly. Ferdinand was dropped from the England squad despite not being found guilty of anything — “I’ve not been found guilty,” he protested — and the dressing room erupted. Neville couldn’t believe it: “My initial reaction was that it was a joke… this stank.” He went straight at the FA: “You’re being judge and f***ing jury… the new sheriff in town.” The players nearly went on strike — “there wasn’t one ‘No’. It was unanimous” — before Ferguson stepped in: “You can’t ruin your career over it.” When the verdict finally came, it hit hard. An eight-month ban. “An extremely savage and unprecedented sentence.” Neville called it “very harsh… inconsistent,” while Ferguson felt “an example was made of Manchester United.” Ferdinand completely lost it: “Why don’t you just f*** me, all of you… it’s a f***ing joke.” Through it all, his manager and teammates never wavered. “He was not a drug taker. We would have known,” Ferguson insisted. Neville backed him: “I’ve never doubted that Rio was genuinely forgetful.” And Ferdinand never forgot the support: “The manager, the players, the fans… they stood by me.” In the end, one mistake changed everything — but it also changed the system. As Neville put it: “Thanks to Rio, a shambolic system was overhauled.”

In football, Kevin De Bruyne is known as the king of assists. But maybe the most painful assist of his career came in 2012, when his girlfriend Caroline Lijnen decided to make a temporary free transfer to Madrid to meet Thibaut Courtois, his Belgian teammate. As the story goes, while De Bruyne was busy working hârd in Germany, Courtois was in Spain using his goalkeeper hands for something very d!fferent. Caroline later admitted, rather calmly, “That night, Thibaut made me feel something I had never felt in three years with Kevin. With Thibaut, I could talk about anything. He also cooked me a wonderful meal, something Kevin never did.” In the end, the real peak of betrâyal was not just a secret k!ss. It was when a nearly two-metre-tall goalkeeper somehow knew how to listen, talk, and serve up a better dinner than a perfect cross into the box. Caroline’s reason sounded like something straight out of a soap opera. She claimed she chæted on Kevin as revênge, because he had allegedly chæted first. So instead of talking things through, they took the fight somewhere else, right into the bẽd of his teammate. As for Courtois, he really was a true Spider-Man. Those goalkeeper hands could catch almost anything, including the girlfriend of a close friend. Instead of protecting the goal, he ended up “protecting” his teammate’s girlfriend inside his Madrid apartment. The inc!dent reportedly left the Belgium dressing room tense for a long time. Belgium coach Marc Wilmots even asked De Bruyne whether Courtois should be kicked out of the national team. But Kevin, being almost pa!nfully professional, agreed to let him stay. He knew that even if Courtois had let moral!ty slip through his hands, Belgium still needed those hands in goal. After that, the two kept a cold relationship for years, speaking only when football required it.
