Ark Charter Academy

On Monday, a group of our Year 10 students attended the GCSE RE Conference at Portsmouth Cathedral. They took part in a range of workshops and sessions focused on Christianity GCSE content, and the opportunity to speak with clergy about its history and architecture.

Eight of our Year 9 students had an inspiring day at the University of Portsmouth, taking part in the My Professional Self workshop. Students explored their own skills, and values, learning how these strengths shape who they are now and who they could become in the future.

One lucky student will win two tickets to a Portsmouth FC home match for them and a friend! How to enter: Achieve 100% attendance from Monday 16th March to Friday 20th March. Be in school every day, on time, and you’re automatically entered into the draw!

Year 11 Parents’ Evening – Tuesday 24th March 2026. Attendance is compulsory, only genuine emergencies should prevent attendance. If a parent is working, we ask that they adjust shifts or send another family member. The school day will finish at 3:05pm for all pupils on the 24th.

Congratulations to all the pupils who graduated from the first Lexonic programme to be run in the school during the Autumn term. We were really pleased to see another group of students improve their knowledge of sounds and reading skills, to successfully complete Lexonic course.
