Can we take a moment to appreciate the slow burn at the start of the clip. They could have done a further pan out, or played the clip faster, but they DRUG out where that ball was going. That was a generational middle finger to people who act like they speak FOR Pickens.

@noctinfocus absolutely NOTHING changes. Even though they spent the ENTIRE story talking about Clive needing ALL of the Eikons to be able to contain Ultima's power. Yet, when he finally did that, they couldn't even tailor a new ending. Massive disappointment.

@noctinfocus My issue is with the fact this was designed by Yoshi P, and he failed to polish a glaring plot hole detail. If you completed the game before the DLC's, the ending makes absolute sense. Clive wasn't the perfect vessel. But if you do the DLC's which chronologically are first--

Because FFX didn't try to sell itself as anything other. It also didn't force you into it choosing your team for the first 10 of 13 chapters. It's a great game in my book, but I find your comparison wholly disingenuous.

Not really, most people just moved on entirely. Hell. A lot of the old crews and remaining crews returned for the Gachaless server (though that didn't really make it big). As a former tester, Hotta doesn't care about quality. That was their downfall.

Wuthering Waves release somehow was bound to cause massive drama because TOF flopped and ppl were desperate for a new open world gacha experience that could be on Genshin level or better. Genshin was the only monopoly in the space for nearly 4 years..so backlash was expected.

Good. Character was an absolute mess that requires dupes to even be viable. Insanity to make her main damage source literally vulnerable to interruption by a strong gust of wind, unless you dupe her out. She needs a kit rework for where WuWa is now.

@ObiJuan5 Oh absolutely, Vincent is far more edgy, but I feel like they utilize it better. It may partially also be contributed by the fact to me Vincent's design fits that bill, while Cloud just doesn't feel like THAT should be his personality.

@AshxCrest Vincent to me is even more over the top with the edge than Cloud, albeit for very justified reasons. I like him but I sorta admire 7's boldness with Cloud's spiraling mental health and sorta piecing him altogether. Don't get that kinda vulnerability often with protags.

@ObiJuan5 Ardyn is perfection in my eyes. If I ever wanted a Villain to win, it was absolutely him. Personality: Amazing Writing: Solid Reason: Extremely Valid I don't like much about XV, but Ardyn is a diamond in what I feel is a muddy title. He did get his own DLC, but it was worth.

@ObiJuan5 Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the rest of the FF7 Cast. I just don't really care much for Cloud. For me, Cloud is like Goku. When you're young; You like Cloud (Goku). When you're older, you like and relate more to Vegeta (Vincent).

@ObiJuan5 When I think of well written "Edgy Boys" in the FF Series, my Benchmark unfortunately comes long after Clouds time too; Ardyn. Ardyn is how you write a tragedy. Not just keep popping up the same villain over and over in a "Haha, you didn't nail in the coffin me", for more plot.

@ObiJuan5 It feels like SE wants to teeter him between a Good life, and a traumatic life, and never want to allow him to find any semblance of peace. The entire FF7 game is partially Cloud learning to rely on other people, just to turn around, continue and say he learned nothing.
