@NeilShenvi There’s no good way to track this. We could hardly keep up with their employment paths let alone their theological nuances. You’d need self reporting or maybe some sort of expensive annual survey. For Baptists, this might be a good use of LifeWay Research, but hard to justify.

Do seminaries keep track of their alumni's theological trajectories? If not, it's probably worth doing. It would likely prompt self-reflection about what is being taught, how it is being taught, and what dangers need to be pointed out more clearly.

@SteveSkojec My best friend used a Rogine and high-end laser cap treatment and the results were absolutely astonishing. Light thin hair his whole life, bald spot. Now has darker thicker hair than I do. Almost unrecognizable.

I'm a Vince Vaughan fan with a receding hairline of my own, so no judgment here. But I'm just saying, if my hairline retreats to the middle-top of my noggin, I'm shaving it. ALL. And it's getting dangerously close. I already think about doing this at least once a week.

@fandompulse it was definitely a biased decision. "appeal to all the upcoming generations who are going to know the new stories" hence why everything (including the Galactic Cruiser) were Disney SW, not OT or PT.

Former Walt Disney World VP Dan Cockerell on who killed the Tatooine-Themed Star Wars land: "We got a call one day. They said, ‘Well, we got some news for you all.’ And the Imagineering guys, they’ve heard this line many, many times during their careers. And I had never been through this.” "They said, ‘Well, yesterday Bob Iger met with Kathleen Kennedy, who as a lot people may know was sort of George Lucas’ protégé and headed up Lucasfilm. And they had a conversation. They had a meeting. And Kathleen Kennedy, her point of view was, there are way more Disney Star Wars stories ahead of us than behind us. So we really should think about do we want to build a Tatooine, and build what all the fifty-somethings remember Star Wars is or do we want to build something else which is going to appeal to all the upcoming generations who are going to know the new stories.' And that day Tatooine was killed at the Studios. And all of those concepts were put on a shelf and I’m sure they are sitting in a vault, and I’m sure they’re going be shown someday about what that land looked like and what the attractions were going to be." How disastrous was this decision?

@RG4YNWA24 @fandompulse Even the tiny little Endor spot outside of the OG star tours was stunning in the 90s. Plus would have provided plenty of much needed shade in that Florida sun.

My opinion, the Original Trilogy place to build is Endor. Functionally, from a Landscape architecture perspective, tall conifer trees are viable in both California and Florida. I think Endor works from a variety of perspectives: the ride could be a speeder bike coaster as you dodge AT ATs. But it also has an entertainment aspect: fireside storytelling with Yoda, C-3PO, or any number of characters.

🚨 “I Pushed him TWICE... Then He Kicked the Crap Out of Me" – Neighbor Breaks Silence on Viral Beatdown Ronnie Taylor, the guy "Reacher" star Alan Ritchson beat up explains how the fight started in the first place. “I did push him because he was coming towards me on his bike. He did it again a second time. I pushed him a second time, then he got off his bike and kicked the crap out of me.”
Skint Eastwood@Skint_Eastwood1

🚨 SHOCKING: 'Reacher' Star Alan Ritchson BEATS the Hell Out of Neighbor! What allegedly happened: - The altercation occurred around noon on Sunday (March 22, 2026) in a Nashville-area suburb in Tennessee. - The alleged victim, named Ronnie Taylor in the TMZ article, claims Ritchson was riding a green Kawasaki dirt bike (motorcycle) at high speed through the neighborhood, creating excessive noise and disturbance. - Taylor says he confronted Ritchson, asking him to "f**king stop this please," after similar incidents (including middle-finger exchanges the previous day). - Things escalated physically: Taylor alleges Ritchson punched him in the face multiple times, kicked him (including while he was down), and tried to run him off after falling off his own bike. - Two young children—reportedly Ritchson's sons—were nearby on their own motorbikes watching the incident. - Taylor filed a police report citing assault, with visible bruises and swelling mentioned. Police confirmed an investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made so far.

@EdwardPilo66308 @RCamposDuffy A parent accepting a lifetime of caretaking for their child is selfish and cruel? Killing the child is the kinder option? Who are you to judge what hardships are too much for a person to endure? This thinking is so unbelievably twisted it is backwards and upside down.

@RCamposDuffy No intended disrespect to you because the depth of your caring is clear... .. BUT this subject is breached without realistically addressing the elephant in the room - how fair is it to doom someone to be born to a lifetime of dependence & vulnerability? Seems selfish & cruel. 🤔

@Zundfolge_ @NickHintonn No, owners do not have local sign companies, design, custom logos with custom fonts for a national brand. Even if they source their own signage, which I seriously doubt, they would have access to a branding kit which what they would then pass along to their signage company

@NickHintonn People don't understand how franchise operations work. When you open a CFA franchise you don't order your signage from one central warehouse. No, each franchisee is responsible for sourcing their own and sometimes they get it wrong. I bet Chic and Chik both exist somewhere.

Ok their ain’t no way it’s always been Chick-fil-a. I specifically remember being annoyed by its original spelling. Why did their mascots tell people to eat more chikin? The joke doesn’t even make sense unless it was spelled Chic-fil-a! Did we experience a Mandela Effect?

@megbasham @MikeCosper @PastorMark Respectfully, if you are a fan of CS Lewis, you might want to read this thoughts on this. No argument that Christ is the only way to reconciliation from Mr. Lewis (or from me), but to call Talarico a heretic is a stretch at this point. Lewis made the same points.

What do you need me to say, @pastormark? That I think his theology is flawed? Yeah… I do think that. He’s an American politician from the mainline tradition — of course I think his theology is flawed. It's not like we haven't seen people like him before. It's not like there aren't dozens of mainline folks in the halls of Congress currently. I'll dive into debate on this theology any time, and you'll find that you and I probably agree more than we don't. I'm still evangelical. I'm still reformed. I actually think I'm a little more reformed than you these days. But the point of the conversation, like the point of MUCH conversation of non-MAGA evangelicals around the Talarico phenomenon, is that he is resonating with people who appreciate his manner, his style, his attempt to embody a certain character that is more recognizably Christian than the harsh, brazen, and at times vulgar manner that has characterized MAGA. That doesn’t excuse policy positions I find reprehensible. Nor did I say it did. That doesn’t amount to an endorsement either. I would never vote for a politician with his policy positions. It’s called “Political analysis” and it’s about “why is this working for some people?” Now… don’t change the subject here, Mark — when do we get to talk? I'm happy to add Talarico to the agenda.

@howertonjosh @Alicia_Bittle_ That’s a really insightful point. When the native culture is one where corruption is not only the norm, it is necessary for survival, why would we be surprised when the culture is transferred here?

Having traveled for mission work, in many countries fraud / bribery is not really seen as wrong. Its just the way the world works, an acceptable way to advance your family / clan / tribe. So… A) it’s kind of muscle-memory for a lot of cultures from instincts they’ve developed for generations B) many of these cultures have no moral opposition to doing it C) when we import people en masse from countries with these cultures (esp without screening) we shouln’t be surprised to find things like $8Bn in fraud schemes I’m a Christian and we SHOULD love all people, but love ≠ naïveté

How does an immigrant, straight off the boat, doesn’t speak English fluently, from a country with a lower than average IQ… Come here and IMMEDIATELY understand the intricacies of defrauding the government to make enough money to afford more than I can? I understand they teach each other, but who was the first? If they’re all dumb (which sorry to say, from Nick’s footage, that appears to be likely) who is helping them keep up the grift? Who are the American traitors at the top? I want a Hunger Games style deportation ceremony where we put them all in a little room, draw their names one by one, and announce what 3rd world country is about to become their new home. I want to see them be marched into giant military cargo planes lined up on the tarmac ready to take them to their new land of opportunity that same day. I want banishments.

🚨 Here is the full 40 minutes of my crew and I exposing California fraud, Minnesota was big but California is even bigger... We uncovered over $170,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters live in luxury with no consequences. Like it and share it, the fraud must STOP. We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening. These fraudsters have been able to defraud American taxpayers for years without any pushback from the public and politicians. It is time to EXPOSE IT ALL and end America's fraud crisis.

Allie Beth and I have bumped heads on some things but I am very glad she’s shining a light on the important and innovative work of my dear friends at Scarlet Hope.
Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey@RelatablewABS

Scarlet Hope expanded its outreach from strip clubs to women involved in online pornography. As online exploitation grew with the release of the iPhone, they began praying for a way to reach victims digitally. In 2018, they discovered a Microsoft-developed technology at a “Tech Against Trafficking” event that could identify people being advertised for sexual services online. The software scans websites where illicit services are posted, gathers publicly available contact information, and allows nonprofits to send text messages offering help, prayer, and resources. Their organization became the first customer in 2019, reaching 18,000 individuals in the first year. Over time, the program expanded to nine cities across the United States. Eventually, the organization raised funds in three weeks to purchase and operate the software themselves. Today, the technology is their largest outreach program, helping them contact people potentially experiencing exploitation, trafficking, or involvement in the pornography industry. In the most recent year, they reached about 120,000 individuals.
A woman received one of their texts asking if she needed prayer or resources. She responded asking if the message was real and revealed she had almost committed suicide the night before, praying that God would send a sign. Within two hours, she was sitting in their offices. Her story revealed severe trauma: she had been sex trafficked at 14, forced into an abortion at 16, trafficked around the country, became addicted to drugs, and was eventually abandoned by her trafficker and left homeless. Scarlet Hope helped place her in a long-term recovery program, illustrating how technology combined with outreach and compassion can save lives, sometimes through something as simple as a text message.

I get the frustration—but “none of these would qualify” is probably overstating it. Most of these films—from The Godfather to No Country for Old Men and The Departed—weren’t just popular; they were critically dominant in their own eras. If released today, many would *still* be strong contenders. What’s actually changed is the landscape around awards like the Academy Awards: * More emphasis on diversity and global storytelling * Different voting body (younger, more international) * Stronger competition from indie and streaming films But movies like Schindler’s List, Gladiator, or Forrest Gump? They’d absolutely still compete—great storytelling doesn’t expire. **Bottom line:** It’s not that past winners wouldn’t qualify today… It’s that the definition of a “Best Picture” contender has expanded, not replaced.

In order to compete at the Oscars for Best Picture, all films must meet the "diversity inclusion" quota. Here are those rules. Yes, this is real.
