“No government—regardless of which party is in power—should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue.” - President Alan Garber hrvd.me/GarberRespond3…

Portugal is reconsidering its purchase of F-35 fighter jets, a program estimated to cost around $6 billion, and is looking at European alternatives Portugal Defense Minister: “…The recent position of the United States, within NATO and on the international geostrategic level, must make us consider the best options, because the predictability of our allies is a greater good to consider. We have to believe that, under all circumstances, these allies will be on our side. There are several options to consider, especially in the context of European production…”outono.net/elentir/2025/0…

I have long thought the “Trump is a Russian asset” line was the stuff of conspiracy theory. Not so sure now. Everything he says and does feels like it is pre-scripted in, by and for the Kremlin. Scary times

🇺🇸 U.S. NUCLEAR WEAPONS ARRIVING SOON IN THE UK Pentagon documents revealed the U.S. has prepared several strategic nuclear warheads for shipment to the UK, marking the first such transfer in 15 years. “The European Union alone has a GDP about 10 times that of Russia, and if you add the U.K. and Norway to that calculation, the imbalance in favor of Ukraine grows even larger.” theatlantic.com/international/…

Last night, the Russian army struck the center of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region with two ballistic missiles. After our emergency services arrived at the scene, they launched another strike, deliberately targeting the rescuers. This is a vile and inhumane intimidation tactic often used by the Russians. Tragically, at this moment, 11 people are confirmed dead. My condolences to their families and loved ones. More than 30 people were injured, including 5 children. Eight five-story apartment buildings, an administrative facility, and a fire truck were damaged. I thank all the emergency services, police, SES personnel, and medics who, despite the threat of repeated strikes, remain undaunted and are saving people from this terror. To everyone who defends lives while risking their own. Such strikes show that Russia's objectives have not changed. Therefore, it is crucial to continue to do our best to protect lives, strengthen our air defenses, and increase sanctions against Russia. Everything that helps Putin finance the war must collapse.
