@barrygoldman1 I don't know of any sexual reproducer that is not doing that, also in asexual reproducers, the complexity (number of cells, size of metabolism, inner contents, etc.) reduces too.

@AstroBioReza it's a bio puzzle. BUT if you want to be diploid, if you want to have sex. if you want to be multicellular and you want most of the cells to agree on genetic material... tehn you gotta reduce back to one cell for sex! r there any other critters out there that do it different?

It's so interesting that we turn into one cell to reproduce. It seems complexity comes to reduction and living system follows its primordial form when it's the matter of reproduction.

What happened to all the tools that predict products from genome mining outputs (e.g., amino acid sequences)? Some of the ones I used—like PRISM—are suddenly discontinued. Anyone have recommendations for tools that still work for chemical structure prediction? I is a T3PKS :)
