Being a business owner in today’s world is absolutely craziness when it comes to finding qualified, consistent, reliable employees. I had a technician quit yesterday because they didn’t like that We didn’t operate like a dealership. Said he liked the dealership mindset and wanted to go back to that. OK, no problem. Problem is we’re so busy we can’t afford to be down technicians. It’s just wild because as soon as he walked out with his toolbox, another person was calling on the phone randomly stating they were looking for a diesel technician position and that was his specialty. No sooner than 10 minutes was he walking in the door for an on the spot interview and he literally was perfect. Things really do happen the way they are supposed to.
