I checked out @joojaebum physical artwork at @artue_io, and I was blown away by the level of detail. I was also surprised to see that it didn’t have a frame (the artwork itself serves as one). It even gave me an idea for my first physical piece

What's the difference between acting and performative art and religion? There is no difference. It's all just a mask we all put on. Our holy mask on Sundays, show up, put the money into the box without questioning. Honestly, it's just performance art. It's just so that we can claim to be holy and be able to brag about it. It's just a membership club they have to pay for except the Pastor. We dress up in our Sunday best, paste on our "blessed" faces, and perform rituals we don't even believe in half the time. We say all the right things, sing all the right songs, nod along to sermons we'll forget by lunchtime. Why? So we can claim spiritual superiority over those "sinners" who don't bother with the charade. The whole system is built on performance - not genuine faith, not authentic connection with God, just keeping up appearances. We're actors in a divine drama where the audience is each other, and God is just the excuse we use to justify our spiritual one-upmanship. And like any membership club, it costs money. We tithe, we donate, we "sow seeds" while the Pastor gets rich off our performance anxiety. We're literally paying to maintain the illusion that we're better than everyone else. Jesus didn't die so we could have a weekly stage show where we pretend to be righteous while judging others. He called out the Pharisees for this exact same performance art - but somehow we've convinced ourselves that our version is holy because we call it "church" instead of "theater." The scariest part? Most of us don't even realize we're acting anymore. We've been performing so long we've forgotten what authentic faith actually looks like.
