I am still shaking from a soul-crushing Uber ride today in Dublin. It started with "Where are you from?" I said Iran, and the driver's face lit up as he thought he'd found a partner in his hate. He looked at me and said, "It must be crushing what the f***ing Israelis are doing to your country." ​The moment I pushed back, the moment I told him the truth, that I support Israel and want to see the regime in Iran fall, he erupted in pure rage. ​He began screaming about his uncle's high rank in the IRA, glorifying terror as a "success story" to justify the total erasure of Israel. To be trapped in a car with that level of brainwashed vitriol, being shamed and attacked for defending the Jewish people, is a burden I can't describe. ​Being Iranian is so incredibly taxing. You spend your life fighting the regime that destroyed your home, only to have strangers weaponise your identity to justify their antisemitism. To my Jewish friends: I see the hate you face. 😔 So incredibly sad… Rest in peace, Melika Azizi (2008 - 2026). This brave 18-year-old from Masal, Iran, was executed by the Islamic Regime on Nowruz — a time meant for renewal and celebration — under the charge of “Moharebeh” (enmity against God). Her “crime”? Participating in protests and allegedly burning regime symbols during the January 2026 demonstrations. She was violently arrested, reportedly beaten, and faced a system that silences young voices with death. In court, she refused to stay silent, boldly telling the judge she couldn’t ignore the bloodshed of so many others. A young life full of potential, stolen away. This is heartbreaking. We must remember her name. The world needs to see the cruelty of this regime.

When most people envision the Holocaust, they picture death camps. Cattle cars. Selection lines. At least 1.5 million Jews never saw a camp. I was named after my great-grandmother, Lily, a survivor of Lithuanian pogroms who fled to South Africa decades before the Shoah. I was under the impression that the rest of my family followed suit, save for a few distant cousins who remained unaccounted for. This Yom HaShoah, I finally know the truth. We wake up every morning to the news of another execution. They are traumatizing an entire nation. This morning the Islamic Republic executed Ali Fahim, another detainee for protesting. With this execution, the number of political prisoners put to death in Iran’s prisons over the past week has risen to 11. Say their names. Do not normalize this. #StopExecutionsInIran

Shahin Vahedparast was the other protester who was executed by hanging in Iran today. He was 31 years old. And that’s almost all we know about him. Because the internet was cut by the regime and sources tell us that his family was threatened into silence. You get hanged for the crime of protesting with empty hand in 21st century and some still call this regime a normal government. Many more are waiting to be executed for the same reason. Please, don’t get used to this. Don’t scroll past it like it’s normal. It’s not. Use your voice. Because your voice still matters and it might be the only thing that can stop the next execution. 💔

His mother begged the free world to help save her son’s life. No one listened. This morning, the barbaric regime executed Vahid Bani-Amerian by hanging in Iran. They shuts down the internet to hide its crimes, then uses that same internet to broadcast death. Imagine waking up to state media announcing, one by one, that the protesters are being hanged. Another beautiful young soul, Amir Hossein Hatami, hanged by the regime in Iran for protesting. Terrible news from Tehran: I just heard that the Iranian authorities today arrested the great human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh. It's not known where she has been taken. Nasrin has been mentioned as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize for her unflinching courage and moral leadership. I hope thought leaders worldwide will call on the Iranian authorities to release this brave woman who represents the best of Iran. Her husband, Reza Khandan, is already in prison serving a sentence for advocating for women's rights. Iran should release them -- and all political prisoners. It was wrong for the Shah to imprison people for peaceful expression of political views, and it's wrong for the Islamic Republic to do so today.

A 10-year-old boy is dead because he was driven to suicide by constant bullying he received at school. Sammy Teusch of Greenfield, Indiana was bullied up until the night he took his own life according to his family. Bullied over his glasses. Bullied over his teeth. Day after day. His parents didn’t ignore it. They didn’t stay quiet. They went to the school 20 times asking for help, that’s 20 TIMES! Nothing changed. He was mocked. He was hurt. He was even attacked on a school bus. And still… nothing was done. Until it was too late. His dad said: “I held him in my arms… something no father should ever have to do.” I can’t get that out of my head. This isn’t “kids being kids.” It’s cruelty. And it’s failure from the adults who were meant to protect him. Bullying has no place in any school. None. And yet here we are.
