Democrats are, once again, punting on what to do about Israel. DNC members voted down a measure condemning AIPAC’s influence in primaries and deferred ones that would support conditioning military aid to Israel. politico.com/news/2026/04/0…

Let’s be clear on what really happened: Today, the Resolutions Committee voted to pass a resolution condemning the corrosive influence of ALL dark money in Democratic primaries. We had various resolutions that focused on different industries and groups, and instead of going one-by-one, we passed a blanket repudiation. I have made my position on this clear from day one: We must end the influence of dark money in our politics and restore power back to the people.

Biden's presidency was tormented by campus protests over Israel's war in Gaza and his reluctance to push back on it. They shadowed him at events Those protests have been virtually nonexistent with Trump amid the war in Iran. @Lauren_V_Egan looks into why thebulwark.com/p/the-campus-p…

BREAKING: 🇮🇱🇱🇧 Israel has no intention of stopping violating the ceasefire and now orders an evacuation order for the ENTIRE southern Beirut

JD Vance in Hungary: "You should never have a foreign head of state threatening the head of government of an allied nation. It's preposterous, it's unacceptable."

Hard to overstate how much centrist goodwill Israel has burned through. A silver lining to this insane war.

There are tens of thousands of Michiganders with deep ties to Lebanon— family, friends, and ancestral homes. Today, many anxiously checked in on loved ones amid significant Israeli airstrikes and civilian casualties. My heart goes out to these families, along with so many others from the greater Detroit area who have been living in fear for loved ones in the greater Middle East. For a ceasefire deal to be viable, it must cover the full scope of this regional conflict, including Lebanon. The U.S. negotiators should help prevent further loss of civilian life by sitting down with all parties and being transparent about the deal on the table and how to bring the war to a reasonable end.

NYT: Democrats Embrace a Four-Letter Word In person, on social media and in campaign ads, Democratic politicians are swearing with glee. It is usually aimed at President Trump. nytimes.com/2026/04/09/us/…

When someone who was this far into the wilderness changes course, it’s probably worth listening to them about what changed their mind so we can better understand how to help change others. Platform policing doesn’t help anyone.

I24NEWS @inon_yttach: The Israeli cabinet quietly approved the construction of 34 new settlements in Judea and Samaria—an unprecedented number approved at once, and during ongoing military operations. Among the approved locations are areas within Palestinian enclaves in northern Samaria, as well as remote points that even the military rarely reaches. In fact, this marks the largest single approval of settlements by any cabinet to date. Until now, 69 settlements had been approved across numerous decisions; this move brings the total to 103 in one step.
