What's next? We will build and test a new governor contract that adds role-based access to the DAO, so only certain addresses will be allowed to open proposals. We will make it so changes to that role can be performed by DAO votes, just so it's not just a small group in control.

Why? An attacker is trying to steal the treasury using fake proposals, and they have voted down a proposal that would mitigate the risk of their actions.

⚠️ The $BIGCAP DAO Governor has been revoked from the Timelock ⚠️ What does this mean? No more DAO proposals can be executed. Don't create any new proposals as they can't be executed, even if a vote passes.

The names of the people mentioned in the proposal are not affiliated in _any_ way with this fake proposal. The DAO attacker has simply copied and modified a previous proposal that passed, hoping there wouldn't be any due diligence performed on it and they could vote it through.

We are planning to roll out updates for the ladder software this weekend to undergo testing. Once testing has passed for these changes we will set a new date for the smoketest ladder. Make sure you register as a trader if you haven't already!

So when will the first ladder start? As we didn't quite meet the numbers needed to start it, we're modifying the ladder software now to let any open slots be traded by the project and allow any newcomers to take over those open slots. More news to come!
