I’m reading a book about the Japanese concept of 「生きがい」(ikigai) right now! Described in modern psychology as the intersection between what you love, what you’re good at, what you get paid for, and what the world needs. Simplified as your reason for being alive. Everyone has an “ikigai”, and the book encourages you to help find yours and cites finding your ikigai as the key to a long, happy life. Really interesting stuff, will continue to go through and may recommend it by the end. I’m a big fan of content that bridges philosophy, psychology, and Japanese culture!
