I’m extremely excited and proud to announce the launch of the Geo Baker Go Beyond Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit focused on providing for the youth in New Jersey. It’s now been over a year since I started basketball training for the youth and immediately, I noticed the amount of kids and families unable to afford my training sessions. This hurt me, knowing how much impact the game of basketball had on me both on and off the court. I was so blessed to have mentors who taught me how to play basketball the right way but also how to act on social media, and checked in on my grades and my family. They taught me how to give back and be a leader. I want every kid to be able to get the same chance that I had growing up. From learning how to fight through adversity, to working with a team, to having a mentor teaching the game of basketball but also the game of life; every kid deserves that. Sports are a necessary outlet for kids to learn and grow. At Geo Baker Go Beyond Foundation, our 4 pillars are Social Responsibility, Education, Mentorship, and Athletic Development. Utilizing basketball training, mentorship programs, and more, we will create new opportunities for kids in underserved communities.
