“it’s settled now, we shouldn’t hear it for a while..” glinda sighed softly, nodding. “get back to sleep, im right here..” she said softly, kissing Maggie’s head.

“yes baby.” glinda nodded, smiling a little and cuddling up with her daughter. “what’s still scary? the wind has calmed down, you’re in my room, and im here.”

glinda had gone and finished her work, coming back upstairs once she was done, tucking into bed besides maggie. a gentle kiss is dropped to her head. “i love you, mags.”

glinda sighed, burying her face in her hands for a moment. it was times like this where doing it alone was hard. “please don’t be upset with me. i have so much to do on top of being your momsie too, sometimes i just need thirty minutes.”

“no, i can’t. all my work is downstairs, in my office.” glinda sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “I just need … thirty minutes to finish. thirty minuets and then i can come back upstairs.”

“not many animals in general in the city.” glinda said, shaking her head, tucking Maggie in gently. “you can stay in here tonight..” she sighs, nodding then. “but i need to finish work, okay? and you need to go back to sleep. it’s late.”

“because grandpopsicle lives around woods, there’s more animals there than here.” a small shrug, nodding. “it was just wind and trees.”

“a branch was scraping against the side of the house.” a small hum, nodding. “probably what made the noise..” a small hum, “but its closed now.”

glinda headed towards Maggie’s room, checking it out, before noticing her window was open slightly, and shutting it. she returned back to her bedroom then, going to maggie. “I think it was the wind, your window was open.”

glinda nods, sighing softly, stroking her daughters hair before heading towards the door. “stay put here, I’ll check it out..” she hums, nodding again. “… you can sleep with me tonight.”

a sigh, picking daughter up and heading upstairs with her. “you’re not sleeping in there either..” shaking her head. “what was the noise like?” asked as glinda headed towards her own room, setting maggie on the bed. “I’ll go check.”
