(My broda) Come and see Boda Patrick!” 😭 My brother and I were just happy seeing someone we knew on TV like that. Real joy. But about a year later, I watched an interview where he said he was from Ebute Metta. My head sparked immediately 😭 I ran to call my sister (his closest friend then): “Anty Zainab, ngbor… Boda yii o kin se omo Ikorodu ni?” She just laughed and said: “Patrick ko wa hustle fun igba die ni… he only came around to hustle for some time.” Omo… my heart broke that day. I was like 15–16 and I really thought we had a superstar from our street. But yeah… life goes on 😂
