@NthandaManduwi @prodotlifik I’m pretty sure priority distortion in choosing between discussing morals and pursuing development was said somewhere in the thread. Enjoy your day!

The demographic dividend that is supposed to carry Africa to prosperity has been discussing how what the babies wore to church for Easter is the heart of moral decay and a devastating reality in 2026 for the past 24hrs. Lol

@NthandaManduwi @prodotlifik I know a bit of Chinese, and I do know that, being a close-knit society, they do discuss such matters quite extensively in their digital circles when they come up.

@prodotlifik @NthandaManduwi Prioritising development doesn’t mean going loose on everything else. As Singapore was developing in the 80s, a whole President resigned for cheating on his wife, as such is grossly immoral in SG. Pursuing morals whilst being in need of development isn’t a distortion of anything.

@BandaHopeBanda @NthandaManduwi Bro she is talking about priority distortion. Simple. You wanting to have a discussion about morality is a whole other thing.

@NthandaManduwi @prodotlifik So, it is what is. Every country chooses the things it discusses, and some do choose to discuss both development and morals, whilst being key tech innovators. It isn’t uncommon.

@NthandaManduwi @prodotlifik I live in a developed oriental country where moral discourse isn’t shunned. The country produces the most advanced AI chips globally. The 4th industrial revolution lies on its back. Yet no one walks around wearing low cut tops because it’s morally unacceptable.

@prodotlifik @NthandaManduwi My comment was that people shouldn’t be barred from discussing morals for the mere reason that their country is not developed. I have no interest whatsoever in what the kid wore and whatnot.

@prodotlifik @NthandaManduwi Just like there are societies where people suffer and are killed unnecessarily because of morality codes that aren’t well settled or are too loose. This works both ways. My comment was made on the assumption that all enforcement of morality is done benevolently and reasonably.

@BandaHopeBanda @NthandaManduwi Not necessarily. There are many societies where people suffer, are oppressed or even killed because of so-called "morality codes". That aside, what has been the fruit of the 24-hour discussion? What have we learnt/benefited?

@NthandaManduwi @EKamponda68602 Fair enough, but that doesn’t mean people cannot talk about morals. Developed societies with blurred morals are hellish to live in.

@CeoKayange1 @EKamponda68602 No. What is shocking is people thinking children are beyond criticism. I do not think there is a Malawian who has never experienced being advised on how to dress by the mum in the neighbouring household. N’zabwinobwino. Those sexualising this whole thing are the ones off the mark

The fact that grown adults are analyzing a little girl’s outfit is actually disgusting. Koma what’s wrong with you people? 🙌🏾 If that was a boy, nobody would say anything. So clearly it’s not the dressing it’s the fact that she’s a girl. That mindset is weird, sick, and deeply disturbing 💔 Leave kids alone!!

People are so spineless these days. Someone disagrees with you about anything thing and you threaten with legal action, demand apologies and the like. It’s become a trend in Malaŵi. People thinking with emotions and not common sense. Such effeminate behaviour.

@MassimoFaggioli @commonwealmag @americamag @NCRonline They’re just about the very problem Life Site News is on the right. Left-wing propaganda machines. But their ideas suit your politically corrupted version of Catholicism, so you probably see nothing wrong with them.

il giornalismo cattolico negli USA (cito qui solo @commonwealmag , @americamag , @NCRonline) sta facendo un coraggioso lavoro di informazione e presa di coscienza sulla spirale di violenza e di autoritarismo in cui sta cadendo il paese.

While the Catholic Left hosts theology panels no one understands and writes think pieces no one reads, the MAGA Catholic Right is winning elections and consolidating power. I spoke to Crux — one of the Church’s top outlets — about why it’s time to stop talking to ourselves and start building a movement that reaches people, wins elections, and defeats authoritarianism for good. thelettersfromleo.com/p/my-interview…

The Venezuelan Army is weak. Africans would never let a President be captured by an Army of another nation inside the State House. We will just sent special forces from Nigeria or Malawi and the USA Army will be scared after seeing Malawia Fighter Jets !!!
