i think men and women can truly be friends but sometimes you get a full hearted “well wishing” type feeling and you think that IS love. It’s not romantic love, but you also think to yourself “hypothetically it could eventually be romantic love in the right circumstances” and you confuse yourself no one talks about it because it’s complicated, they just say men and women can’t be friends i do love my female friends and i am satisfied to be their friend and i do not suffer, indeed I am overjoyed. i think that is platonic love it’s a tough thing to talk about because who is going to talk about it? i do not have sexual or romantic thoughts of my friends, i simply do not, but if i feel a softness in my heart sometimes I wonder--what is that? I find myself in a position, as if walking along a cliff, where I know I could throw myself off the cliff if it made sense. There would be no return. Sometimes I even feel drawn to the abyss.
