I had the privilege of standing alongside my principal, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) 8th National Convention in Eagle Square, Abuja. The energy in the square was electric, and it was an honour to be part of this pivotal moment in our party's journey. The convention was a validation to the party's commitment to unity, progress, and the development of our great nation. We are progressives!

Yesterday, we held stakeholders' meetings across the eleven wards in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State. As instructed by my principal, Governor @OfficialOAU, we visited the eleven wards to notify them of the forthcoming Local Government Council elections, conveying the Governor's message to them to organize meetings and choose representatives who will best serve their interests. We emphasized the importance of considering capacity, competence, and character in their selection. The Governor's administration prioritizes the people's decision above any personal interest, ensuring that it's truly time for the people to choose their preferred representatives.

On Saturday, Governor Ododo paid a courtesy visit to the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland. The purpose of the visit was to update the monarch on the achievements of his administration and to intimate him with the numerous developmental plans for the state. Additionally, the Governor sought the Ohinoyi's feedback and insights on behalf of the people of Ebiraland. This visit exemplifies my principal's commitment to grassroots governance, engaging with the people, and gathering genuine feedback to address their needs. This is truly servant leadership in action.

Yesterday, in the company of my principal, Governor @OfficialOAU, discharging my responsibilities, embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing projects in the Kabba Bunu area of Kogi State's West District. We visited various primary health care centers, erosion gully control projects, and the ongoing developments at Kogi State University, Kabba. The Governor also paid a courtesy visit to the Obaro of Kabba and other royal majesties in the Okun Kingdom. During the visit, he expressed gratitude and updated the royal fathers on the state's progress, current initiatives, and future plans. Furthermore, the Governor commissioned a security operational base in Kabba, further strengthening the state's security architecture and outfits.

Today, my principal, Governor @OfficialOAU, commissioned the first branch of Premium Trust Bank in Kogi State, Lokoja. Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration's commitment to partnering with progressive financial institutions like Premium Trust Bank to drive industrialization, agricultural transformation, and entrepreneurship in the state. It's an honor to witness this significant milestone.

As I mark another year of life, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and reflection. The Kogi State Government regrets to announce the passing of the father of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who returned to his Creator a few hours ago at the age of 83. His Janazah (funeral) will be conducted and he will be laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites. We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
