Monte Lee says Talmadge LeCroy didn't call pitches today. That was one of the first changes they made. Chris Gordon and Terry Rooney tag-teamed calling pitches. He wants to take a bit off LeCroy's plate so he can focus on catching and be a great leader.

I will add that I do think @GamecockBSB is making the right decision here. I've got to be honest, I watched some of SC's midweek game, and it looked like a team that had quit in mid-March. There are wholesale issues if your team is in that condition in March.

Because we have been bad under the Paul/Monte led team. If Monte was really doing it all, then it stands to reason he is to blame just as much as Paul, and also isn’t the guy for beyond the rest of this season. Gotta start fresh. Time for Donati to earn his paycheck.

The plan was to give Paul two years, then let Monte take over. Ray wanted to, but couldn’t, hire Monte right away because of his Clemson failure and firing. So he went to his old buddy Paul and convinced him to give 2 years for that to die down. That is concerning…

Paul had to go. Period. Glad it is done, no matter how it happened. But if you have attended any games last year or this year and paid any attention, it is obvious that Monte Lee has been doing 90% of all coaching. Not Paul. Now Monte is the interim coach. That is a problem. 🧵
