Containment (eg.use of pads) rather than promoting continence seems to remain a strategy for multiple reasons including lack of training and time. May be more time consuming to assist a person to access toilet facilities.

Also interesting that whilst they discuss importance of training for care staff they don’t acknowledge the challenges around this. I had never heard the term ‘pad culture’ but can relate 2/2
