This is silly. You can love your country and think that aspects of it are bonkers or destructive (I love my family, but I recognise that it’s a bit mental, in some respects). You can love the monarchy and regret the actions of individual monarchs. You can be proud of our universities and understand that aspects of them are a bit shit. You can care for fellow citizens and regret rapid demographic change. Suspect you know this already.
