The Cards finish third place in the NCAA Division III tournament, besting Elmira, 3-2.

Ivy Boric drops it back to Annie Katonka in the slot, and the Cards take a 3-2 lead with 5:05 left.

Plattsburgh appeared to go up 3-2 in the game with 8:02 left, but the goal was waved off for goalie interference, with Annie Katonka coming into contact with the Elmira goalie during a shoving match with an Eagle defender in the crease.

Ivy Boric knots the game up at 2-2, finishing a late powerplay chance with 25 seconds left in the second.

Elmira enters on an odd man rush and Kelly Millins scores to make it 2-1 Soaring Eagles with roughly 11 minutes left in the second.

A messy few chances in front of the Elmira net and Nicole Unsworth picked the puck out of the crowd and put it home to tie things up, 1-1, at the 15:26 mark of the second period.

The first frame ends with Elmira up, 1-0. Plattsburgh State leads in the shot count, 12-8.

With 13 minutes left in the first, Elmira's Claire Elfring walked in and wired a wrister over Lilla Nease's blocker to make it 1-0, Soaring Eagles.

After Chloe Beaubien started yesterday's matchup and Ashley Davis played the last period and a half in relief, goaltender Lilla Nease is slated to get the start against Elmira on the Cardinals' lineup sheet today
