This year tested me in ways I never expected. At times, my career felt stalled & stale and I found myself wondering if there was still a place for me in all of this. Being ranked so surprisingly high by @OfficialPWI means the world — not for validation, but because it proves that consistency matters. Showing up, even when it’s hard, counts. Someone once told me, “Some years are for growing, and some are for building.” This was a building year. Next year, I bloom. ♥️

What a special place Japan is. especially for those of us who wrestle. As AJ said, it’s a place worthy of giving everything you’ve got. Of course, that’s true anywhere in the world… but there’s something sacred here. I don’t know if it’s because I’m Japanese, but I believe the wrestlers and fans who shared this space all felt the same. Maybe. He did too — John Cena, AJ — they’ve all chosen to step away from the ring. It reminds me that my own time might not be far off. But I still have things I must do. I’m still struggling, still fighting, not knowing what tomorrow will bring. All I can do is live this day with everything I have. Thank you. If only… one more time…

My first goal/dream as an adult was to get signed by WWE. I wrestled on the independent scene in the northeast for a lot of years. I started pro wrestling training in 2001 at the age of 14. I would train 2-3 nights a week while going to high school. As I got older and better, I started working shows in NJ, NY, PA, MA, ME and DE. By 2007, I was doing extra work for WWE and felt that I was getting closer to my dream. My shot was coming. 2007-2010 I would continue working the independence circuit. Mostly in the Boston and Delaware areas. In 2010, my lung collapsed which caused me to have surgery and retire from the ring. I was 23. Ending my dream. After that, I decided to go back to school for my masters degree to become a Physical Education teacher. This September, I’m going into my 10th year as a Physical Education teacher. I’m writing this to show you that plans don’t always go the way you want to them. But it’s always smart to have your next plan and take action to proceed to your next goal. Thats what I did and it worked out thankfully.
