@TheScholastics I’m intrigued enough to check the demo! I love RPGs with meaningful character creation (not just meaningless customization), and good writing/story. OG Fallout and Arcanum, more recently Pillars 1 and Colony Ship. Fingers crossed!

A potential investor told us to change the gameplay so it would be like the trendy RPGs. We refused and kept developing Wigmund. In total, it took us six years to finish it. #GamingCommunity #indiegames #PCGamer

@politicalmath “Odd Squad” on PBS Kids is the most fun, and smartest, modern kids show! Think Men in Black with clever kids. Best part, they evolved the show with new protagonists and capped it off with an AWEOME movie!

Finished watching Gravity Falls and Over the Garden Wall with my kids (15, 13, 10) and they want "moar of that". I need suggestions. They have rejected Animaniacs and Rocky and Bullwinkle.

I discovered Burn Notice in 2007 while I was in hospital for 2 weeks, recovering from colon cancer surgery. Jeffrey Donovan had made an impression from “The Pretender”, and Gabrielle Anwar from “Scent of a Woman”, but when I saw @GroovyBruce was the mentor/comic relief I knew it was gonna RULE!! And it did! For a few seasons 😜

Tom Cruise doubted he was the right person for Jack Reacher. The author of Reacher book, Lee Child said: “When we shot bar fight where five guys surround him, Tom did another take. He said, “You expect somebody bigger?’ “He knew he was physically wrong”

@TychoBrahe The Enemy Within expansion definitely addressed that to a large degree! Added a risk/reward balance to the mix. The “overwatch crawl” that worked (tho boringly) in the base game would lock players out of the most powerful upgrades available via Meld.

We built a studio, we made a game, and I'm really proud of both. Before we close the doors at Midsummer Studios I'd like to share a glimpse of Burbank, the game we poured our hearts into. It's like "Life Sims + The Truman Show," but it's more than that. I believe people are storytellers, and I want them to share whatever stories and characters they can dream up. Burbank let's you do that. We have moments playing this game where characters come alive in a way we've never experienced. And for an old game developer like me that's special. What you're about to see is definitely pre-alpha. But this game was a dream of mine, our team made it come true, so watch and dream with us.

Another masterpiece turning 30 this year... one of the best turn-based strategy games I ever played: Master of Orion II (Simtex, 1996). A huge improvement over the already excellent original from 1993, Master of Orion II gives sci-fi/strategy nerds everything they need: colonizing planets, terraforming, building infrastructure, researching a gazillion ships, weapons, shields and other tech, diplomacy with alien races, epic space battles, and - of course - black hole generators to swallow capital ships in one go! The graphics were excellent, the intro got you hyped right from the start, different paths to victory (with varying end credit cutscenes), a slightly eerie/spacey soundtrack, and almost endless replayability made this game near perfect. It truly deserves a spot among the great strategy games of the 90s alongside Civilization and Alpha Centauri.

For me, it’s “Arcanum: of Magick Obscura”. It’s an incredibly ambitious, sprawling fantasy RPG that was the first (and still best!) to truly combine magic and technology into a wondrous yet balanced system of progression. Add in a fantastic score, characters, and fleshed out wolf and it’s an all timer that doesn’t get talked about enough today.

Ten years! I can hardly believe it. Thank you to everyone who played (and to those still playing.) Such fond memories of that game, and that team, and that audience.
