Hey Ma’am. I appreciate your reply. I think a lot of folks took it out of context. I was simply implying on how I would react if my Mom would say that. She never would. My Dad was Special Forces in Nam. She remembers on how he was and other soldiers were treated when they returned. My service was a pleasure. Have good Sunday.

Hey Shelly. I understand your concerns. That’s what your boy needs know. Support from his family and his country. The last thing a soldier needs before they cross the LD (enter combat) is their family members disparaging their service or questioning the mission. I’m sure you boy will be fine. He has many months of training before he joins the force. This conflict will be well over before that. Thanks in advance for his service. V/R! Bill H.

@BillHerrer77458 @KindeandTrue Thank you for your service. My son is in the process of signing up for the army now. Praying for our troops and for my son. My mommas heart is definitely feeling very emotional about it but I’m so proud of him!!

@BatigolStatue @sagewilyam @KindeandTrue Obviously you don’t understand US Military Doctrine or Combined Arms and Joint Ally and Joint Force Operations. We don’t fight fair these days. A multitude of lessons learned militarily spanning many wars and decades. Tommy, go rub one out or maybe go play some XBox.

@sagewilyam @KindeandTrue I doubt I would bro 😎. And I will enjoy my retirement, I’ve earned it. I’m still waiting on the Army to recall me as I’m the retired list. Also, I like your profile pic. Isn’t the MAJ Dick Winters leading the attack on Brecourt Manor. Have a good Sunday, man 🧍‍♂️.

@DMichelleSteele @KillianFor30537 @KindeandTrue What BS. That’s the problem. The SC would rule the Act unconstitutional. Why do you think nobody really challenged the law. Hell, the Dems could file a lawsuit, time now, challenging the current conflict. Wonder why they havnt done it? Dud!

Agreed. American’s are free to their own beliefs. I’ll bet I know more folks in the military who are deployed than you. Not one thinks the way the people you know do. And, that’s cool. If they feel that strongly against the war the can take themselves down to the aid station and claim CO Status.

@BillHerrer77458 @KindeandTrue People are free to believe that this war is stupid. This includes military members and their families. I know people who are currently in the war right now who strongly disagree with it and think it's massively stupid. They are doing what they have to do, but it is what it is.

War Powers Resolution of 1973 (War Powers Act) is a US law designed to limit the President's power to commit armed forces to hostile actions without Congressional approval. It requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops, limits engagement to 60 days without authorization, and demands consultation. The Key Aspects of the War Powers Act (1973): Purpose: The law, passed over President Nixon’s veto following the Vietnam War, aims to ensure collective judgment of both Congress and the President before introducing US troops into hostilities. Notification Requirements: The President must submit a report to Congress within 48 hours of deploying armed forces into hostile situations or situations where hostilities are imminent. Time Limitation: Military engagement must end within 60 days unless Congress authorizes a longer period, declares war, or extends the deadline. A further 30-day withdrawal period is allowed, per Wikipedia. Congressional Action: Congress can force the removal of troops at any time by passing a concurrent resolution, which cannot be vetoed by the president, as seen on YouTube. Significance and Constitutionality: Congressional Reassertion: It was a direct effort by Congress to regain control over military policy after unilateral presidential actions in Korea and Vietnam. Legal Challenges: Every president since 1973 has viewed the act as an unconstitutional infringement on their role as Commander-in-Chief, per EBSCO. Compliance: While presidents often submit reports to avoid legal disputes, they usually state they are doing so "consistent with" the act, rather than acknowledging it as a binding limitation, says EBSCO.

@BillHerrer77458 @KindeandTrue Exactly my point - the soldier is required to 'defend the constitution' and 'bear true faith and allegiance' to it, by contrast he is required to 'obey the orders' of the CiC and they are linked to the first two points.

@KenOath16 @randommartyr @KindeandTrue Sorry Ken. I don't see it that way. Iran has been our sworn enemy since 1979. Had that crackhead Kamalacrackamollah been POTUS, Iran probably would have a few deliverable weapons grade warheads by now, with delivery systems.

Come on Michelle? The last time Congress Declared War was on December 8th 1941. I guess Korea, Nam, Dom Rep, Grenada, Panama, Gulf 1, Kosovo, Libya, Syria, OIF, and OEF were all figments of our imagination? I've been to combat three times, not once under a declaration of war by Congress, Shit, Congress can't their asses with both hands anyway. Try better next time.
