I will die on the hill that Republicans started messing with votes back in 2012. We were all studying in my university library that had multiple TVs on and the Fox News anchors were absolutely 100% sure Romney was going to win. They didn’t act surprised when he lost, they were behaving as if something was wrong.

I'm calling it now. Karen Bass 'wins' the mayor's race after they finally 'finish counting the votes' on July 29th.


In most recent California elections, the count at 4AM on election night typically represents 50%-60% of the final vote total, with the remaining 40%-50% trickling in over the following weeks.




Turnout in the city of Los Angeles jumps 5% over the weekend, now at 15% with over 330k total returned (+110k from Friday's update). Returned ballot share was D+36 on Friday and is now sitting around D+40. Final turnout in 2022 Primary in the City of Los Angeles was D+64.
