i wanted to understand modern conflict better, so i did what i always do: i modeled it. i built a rudimentary simulator with sensor networks, triangulation, HEL batteries, multi-threat tracking, and intercept logic against mixed salvos targeting multiple HVAs. three takeaways: (1) i need to lay off the caffeine (2) asymmetric warfare is brutally hard to reason about. (3) the way forward isn’t more weapons, it’s less fog.

potentially hot take: social media made content generation normal, crypto made trading normal. ai is trying to make starting a business normal. the more people who start a business with ai baked in from day one, the more businesses exist that can never remove it. it’s dubious though because there’s a flood of people starting companies without understanding how much work that actually takes and they’re just going to get burned.
