I usually look here.
There are many different explanations, but start by picking one less complex workflow that you can understand. Once you get familiar with that one, learning others will be easier.

@BigG1560773 I mainly get related information from Reddit. I also collect specific information like certain LORA models from Civitai, where I download key assets for comfyui.

@BigG1560773 There are also various quantized versions available, so it’s possible to make it work even on lower-end setups by finding a good compromise.

@BigG1560773 RAM will be pretty important
I think you’ll need at least around 64 GB to generate smoothly while still being able to browse the web at the same time.

@BigG1560773 I’m a bit jealous of the 3090 — with 24 GB of VRAM, it’s really well suited for AI generation. The compute speed might lag behind the 4000 and 5000 series, but it still seems like a solid and reliable choice overall.

@ShinyZuboat @BigG1560773 Grok also uses a wan model, but I think one of the main issues is that the assets and resources provided by Grok are somewhat limited in quality.

@BigG1560773 @BluCopi_ Beats me..been using Grok and it isnt awful just not very good with nfsw and underwater videos. Sometimes it gets bangers.

@ShinyZuboat I’m currently using wan2.2
Now I can generate continuous scenes without needing separate editing.

@BigG1560773 @UwAlvo I’m currently using a model called WAN2.2. Since I generate everything locally on my desktop using ComfyUI, it allows for much more creative freedom.

SVI dropped, and it’s another massive leap for the local video generation scene. I’ve always found the 5-second limit a bit frustrating, but now we can generate continuous scenes naturally without any quality loss.
