🇮🇷🇺🇲 The story of the famous composition that has come to the fore once again following the USA-Iran war. The Khorramshahr Symphony, composed by Majid Entezami, was written to commemorate the Liberation of Khorramshahr (May 24, 1982), one of the most critical and symbolic turning points of the Iran-Iraq War. The Liberation of Khorramshahr was the most critical turning point of the Iran-Iraq War, occurring on May 24, 1982, when Iranian forces reclaimed the city through Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas after 575 days of Iraqi occupation. This victory, which resulted in the capture of approximately 19,000 Iraqi soldiers, not only shifted the course of the war in Iran's favor but also became a symbol of national resistance, inspiring numerous artistic works such as Majid Entezami’s symphony. Majid Entezami is one of Iran’s most renowned film score and symphony composers. In composing this work, he blended Western classical music forms with local Iranian melodies and dramatic elements that reflect the spirit of the war.
