Tony Gonzales had an affair with staffer Regina Santos-Aviles that ended in June 2024, when her husband Adrian Aviles found out and texted both Gonzales and a number of other staffers from Regina’s phone, outing the affair and saying he was filing for divorce. Texts to Regina from Gonzales in May 2024 show him asking her for sexy pictures and her being hesitant, saying “too far boss.”
In 2024, Regina Santos-Aviles received a 26% salary boost and thousands of dollars in unspecified compensation. During that time three other staffers held the same title, none of them received comparable compensation. One can only assume that money was gifted for silence.
Regina committed suicide by lighting herself on fire in front of her home on September 13, 2025.
Gonzales denied the affair until YESTERDAY, claiming she committed suicide because she found out her estranged husband Adrian Aviles was having an affair with her best friend. Aviles denies this claim, and even if that were true…as if that had NOTHING to do with him. They’d been married for 7 years and have an 8 year old son. Aviles believes Gonzales used his power to push her into an affair.
Here’s a recently released photo of them together, before Regina was likely silenced, gaslit, reduced, judged, discarded, and lost her professional credibility and marriage. Before she felt so empty that dousing herself in gasoline and lighting herself on fire with a BIC was a better alternative.
He denied the truth to save his career until yesterday, still saying he had “absolutely nothing to do with her tragic passing,” and that he will not step down. RESIGN. RIGHT FUCKING NOW.
