Today is #WorldParkinsonsDay & recently I met with @ParkinsonsUK and people who live with Parkinson’s to hear about their experiences.
Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. Until there is a cure, there is @ParkinsonsUK and the support they offer.

@VonnSand @CatrionaStewart usually only find those guys for appointments before 10am. Never found them afterwards :(

@CatrionaStewart I didn’t see anyone in either of the two multistorey car parks. Did see attendants preventing people accessing the rehab and maternity depts, but that was all. Infuriating! Especially given the “if you don’t turn up you’re destroying the NHS” text messages. So poor for patients.

Just to add - today, after driving around for 25 minutes trying to find a space, I parked up safely but on a double yellow line. Came out to a £100 fine.
I’ll cop to it since I knew I was parking on double yellows, but I had very little choice in order to accompany my daughter.

The parking situation at @NHSGGC QEUH is absolutely disgraceful. I cannot wrap my head around knowing this was deliberate. Put a city’s main hospital in a location nowhere near easy and direct public transport use, then expect ill and disabled people to get there with ease.

I've got that many health alerts on my phone/watch that when I use the hand dryer in the office they are still buzzing from notifications about hearing damage by the time ive walked the length of the office to get back to my desk!

Why is it always the bus just before 8am that doesn’t show up.? The only one that gets me to work on time? Now I need to get a train as well. Double the fare and late to work. Great.

@neilslorance I honestly think my parents took it up when my grandad went into sheltered housing and his garden needed rehomed. Dad eventually looked into opening up as a garden centre supplier but couldn’t find any land suitable that was affordable. Barely touched the garden before that point
