You guyssss!! Can I be serious for a sec? I WROTE A CHILDREN’S BOOK! Eeeek! You might catch me joking, parenting, posting selfies, or just vibing, but under all that is a grieving mother. For the ones that don’t know, in 2018, I had identical triplet girls, one of my daughters died in the NICU, and for the past 7 years, I’ve been learning how to carry both joy and pain, navigate grief, and balance motherhood. I became an advocate for Black child loss awareness because our stories deserve space. Our babies deserve to be remembered. I wrote My First Day in Heaven, a gentle children’s book told from the perspective of a baby who goes to heaven, to help families talk about loss with tenderness and truth. The more clips I see of the making of Sinners, the backstory, character development, or anything related, I love it more and more. So much thought and intention went into this masterpiece of a project and it deserved all of the rewards. Just masterful. WOW.
