If I’m Bayern, I’m smiling at this deal right now.
€55m for Ismael Saibari already looks smart considering what he’s showing at the World Cup. Bayern have a habit of moving early before tournaments inflate prices, and this feels like another example of that.
What stands out isn’t only the moments on the ball — it’s his composure, confidence and willingness to take responsibility under pressure. He looks like a player who enjoys the big stage instead of hiding from it.
Of course, World Cup performances alone don’t guarantee success in Munich. Bayern is a completely different level of expectation week after week.
But based on what we’ve seen so far, this feels less like a gamble and more like Bayern spotting quality early.

I actually get this take.
World Cups aren’t won in the first two games, and they’re definitely not won on social media. One draw and suddenly people want to sack players, question mentality, call the squad finished… it’s exhausting.
Pressure is normal, criticism is normal, but turning on your own team after every dropped point creates noise, not results. Portugal still have quality, experience and enough time to respond.
Fans don’t have to pretend everything is perfect, but there’s a difference between standards and self-destruction.
Relax. Tournament football rewards calm more than panic.
