@BookDevon That's all right. I recommend you try them again someday, though. Rereading stuff has often given me wonderful surprises.

Absolutely. A truly universal work, not only one of the best American novels, but one of the greatest literary achievements I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

I am not gonna read anything that's not on my physical tbr or on my kobo. I need to finish books i actually own 😭 . This includes ukranian books i downloaded, books from the booker long list btw

@wellreadisjen I've just realised that I was muddling her with Andrea Levy. Looking at her life and books, she does look very interesting.

@BookDevon It’s the third in a trilogy of autobiographical works. I did enjoy them very much much.

@Radley_and_me I didn't realise she had stopped writing. Maybe she's just got a long project in the go. Must be hard to keep thinking up new stories.

@BookDevon Yes, I love Sarah Waters. Is such a shame she seems to have stopped writing. I am enjoying Temeraire as I enjoy fantasy, it could be a bit faster paced but it’s a series so sometimes they can take a while to get going.
