While the Porsche 911 SC was normally the Porsche of choice, the 930 Turbo did see some service in rallying in the Group 4 and Group B era. Manfred Hero scored an ERC victory in one, Bernard Chenevière got it's best finish in the WRC at Monte-Carlo in 1982, a 16th place

@jeracerx Fernando Medina and Josef Brack also ran 930s in their respective national championships.

@jeracerx Brave choice indeed. Adding to those names, Claude Haldi also did Monte Carlo a couple of years with a 930 Turbo and won 1979 Swiss Rally Championship.

I think I pieced the info on this together after finding out about it this morning. Ian Palmer ran this NSX with a Comptech supecharger in Australian Nations Cup in 2001/2. In 2004 he dropped in an ex-F1 Judd 3.5L V8, but swapped it for a twin turbo V6 for Australian GT in 05/06

@rohanluvs Era a decisão expectável. Quando se faz uma corrida perfeita sem erros em LM25 e mesmo assim se perde para um carro que teve saidas de pista, erros de estratégia, etc, a conclusão só pode ser que não vale a pena competir quando o BOP está claramente a favor de outra equipa.

a pior decisão da porsche foi sair do wec.. um programa de hypercar absurdo, com um protótipo de elite e os melhores pilotos..
